The key to successful learning is private tuition. It is the most flexible, intensive and effective way of learning German. The latest methods and teaching materials, combined with a highly qualified and experienced teacher allow for rapid success in one-to-one-lessons.
With me, you don’t have to compromise. Unlike in a conventional language school, you don’t have to adapt to a group, a teacher or a given programme. You can choose an individual course just for you.
My programme is “à la carte”. You and your goals are the focus of my private German lessons. You decide the duration of the course, and the number, type and focus of the lessons.
Together, we will work out which learning objectives are helpful and useful. To do this, we will consider how you learn, what you want, and what motivates you. I offer you personalised language course that is tailored to your needs, your rhythm and your particular learning style.
General vocabulary courses
My general language courses are designed for participants who wish to deepen their knowledge of German for everyday life. I offer courses at every level, from beginner to well advanced.
During classes, I will share with you the ability to communicate in a variety of everyday situations. The focus of teaching is a mix of vocabulary, grammar and conversation. We will work on your listening comprehension, reading comprehension and writing.
I place great emphasis on active interaction with the language. Through discussions on current topics and topics of personal interests, you will quickly gain more linguistic self-confidence.
Business language courses
In these courses geared towards the needs of the business world, you will improve your German performance in the professional environment. Using modern textbooks, you will develop the linguistic means to handle communicative situations such as making phone calls and attending meetings or presentations.
Learn to deal with your business correspondence and to master meetings with confidence. You will acquire practical vocabulary and relevant phrases in order to make a good impression at any time.
I have many years of experience teaching businesspeople and executives, and know their needs very well.
Diploma courses / Preparation for naturalization tests and residence permits
Aiming for a certificate in German? My diploma courses specifically prepare students for the internationally recognised Goethe diplomas and telc certificate (levels A1 – C2).
Do you need a language certificate for your naturalisation or your C permit? I can also help you to prepare for the cantonal German test for naturalization (KDE).
The success rate of my participants is well above 90 %.
Writing training
Although you can communicate easily and understand texts well in everyday life and work, you want to gain confidence in writing targeted and largely error-free texts.
The main objective of the classes is to improve your individual writing skills. The course will provide you with in-depth knowledge to cope appropriately with writing tasks in your everyday and professional life. Particular attention is given to strategies for avoiding frequently repeated errors. At the same time you will improve your sentence structure, style and spelling.
With well-written and error-free texts, you will increase your chances on the labour market and will gain fluency and confidence in the professional environment.
Custom-made coaching
You don’t want to use textbooks or have “normal” classes, but want a course that reflects your priorities?
With me, “tailor-made” is not just an empty word. Your course will be designed individually for you, because you are unique and have your own goals. My goal is to provide you with made- to-measure classes.
The course material will include vocabulary that is based on your company’s documents and relevant issues, or on your interests.
Together, we will design a customised programme. We will develop it according to your expectations, your goals, your needs and your requirements. We will review it regularly and adjust it if necessary.
Immersion courses
Do you wish to improve your language skills in record time? Do you want to expand your vocabulary quickly? Tangibly improve your language skills and fluency? Reactivate forgotten language potential and increase your level quickly?
In order to achieve your personal goals even faster and more efficiently, it is advisable to completely immerse yourself in the language for half or full days (immersion).
During these “language baths”, German will no longer seem strange and alien. You will communicate a lot more easily and sometimes you’ll even forget your native language. You won’t constantly have to translate, but will think increasingly in German. You will be efficient and effective.
